Authorities are set to provide updates on the shootings and the shelter-in-place alert issued in Bucks County during a news conference scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. This conference will be broadcast live on various platforms including CBS News Philadelphia.

Following the morning shootings, residents of Falls Township were instructed to shelter-in-place, though these orders were later lifted as the investigation shifted to Trenton across the Delaware River.

Police sources have characterized the shootings as domestic-related incidents, occurring at separate locations in Levittown on Edgewood Lane and Viewpoint Lane. After the shootings, Gordon reportedly carjacked an individual at a Dollar General store in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, making off with a gray or silver-colored Honda CRV.

Chopper 3 later spotted the vehicle in Trenton, situated in front of the residence where the standoff ensued. Gordon, according to Middletown police, has ties to both Bucks County and Trenton, with reports suggesting he may be homeless but primarily resides in Trenton.

Earlier on Saturday, Middletown Township police took to Facebook to inform the public about multiple shootings in Falls Township, emphasizing uncertainty regarding whether the victims were targeted or random.

Law enforcement efforts intensified as they pursued Gordon, connecting him to the carjacking incident. Dispatchers in Bucks County confirmed the shelter-in-place order, urging residents to remain indoors for their safety.

Residents were advised to avoid windows and doors, seeking refuge in central areas of their homes while reporting any suspicious activity to 911. The investigation's impact extended to local businesses, with establishments like Sesame Place and the Oxford Valley Mall closing until further notice.

Additionally, the incident prompted the cancellation of the Bucks County St. Patrick's Day parade, with State Sen. Steve Santarsiero announcing the decision via Facebook.

The Pennsburg School District postponed all activities, ensuring the safety of students who were promptly taken indoors. However, Makefield Elementary School's play is set to continue as scheduled, as stated by Superintendent Thomas Smith on the district's website.

Governor Josh Shapiro has deployed Pennsylvania State Police to support local law enforcement efforts and reiterated calls for residents to shelter in place until further notice.

Langhorne police reassured residents that the shooter had not entered the borough, urging individuals to refrain from traveling to Falls Township until the situation is resolved.
